Emily Althoff

Assistant Extension Professor and State Extension Specialist of Urban Entomology

Division of Plant Science and Technology

emilyalthoff@missouri.edu

I study urban entomology. Here, I focus on the intersection of insects in our everyday lives (our homes, gardens, and trees). More specifically, I am interested in insect chemical ecology, how insects use their sense of smell to navigate the world around them.

Ruthie Angelovici

Associate Professor

Division of Biological Sciences

angelovicir@missouri.edu

The genetic and metabolic control of seed amino acids’ composition.

Jaime Barros-Rios

Assistant Professor

Division of Plant Science and Technology

jaime.barros@missouri.edu

Our primary focus centers on understanding and manipulating lignin biosynthesis in plants to improve biomass utilization, stress resilience, and carbon sequestration.

Lesa Beamer

Professor

Department of Biochemistry

beamerl@missouri.edu

Our laboratory uses structural biology and other biophysical methods to characterize enzyme function. Our current focus is characterizing various isoforms and mutants of the enzyme serine hydroxymethyltransferase (SHMT) from soybean. SHMT functions in folate metabolism and plays a role in the resistance of soybean to a nematode pathogen.

Norman B. Best

Research Geneticist/Adjunct Professor

USDA-ARS/Division of Biological Sciences

Mandy D. Bish

Assistant Professor

Division of Plant Science and Technology

Sustainable management of crop diseases.

Dale G. Blevins

Emeritus Professor

Division of Plant Science and Technology

blevinsd@missouri.edu

Dr. Blevins is an emeritus faculty member. His research focus was macro/micronutrient concentrations in leaves of tall fescue during fall, winter, and spring.

David M. Braun

Professor/Director

Division of Plant Science and Technology and Division of Biological Sciences/Interdisciplinary Plant Group

braundm@missouri.edu

Genetic control of carbohydrate partitioning in plants.
