The University of Missouri (MU) in Columbia, Missouri and the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center (DDPSC) in St. Louis, Missouri seek applications for a joint faculty position in plant biology. We are seeking a scientist who will address leading-edge research questions in plant biology that complement and strengthen existing research programs at both institutions. A record of excellence in possessing extramurally-funded grants, and in pursuing innovative, collaborative research using creative approaches in any area of science that can be applied to plants is required. The appointed individual will be a tenured faculty member in one or more departments/divisions at MU and an Associate/Full Member and Principal Investigator at DDPSC and will contribute to undergraduate and/or graduate teaching programs. The new faculty member will be located on the MU campus, and will complete a cluster of four joint hires, with two individuals located at each institution.
